Restarting

I'm starting my toku analysis up again, though I'll have less ability to comment on some things but still. Today I'm talking about OOO 44 and Gokaiger 23.

OOO 44 led most importantly to the death, and permanent incompletion of Kazari, the one Greeed to so far not die. His death was handled interestingly, we see his internal Core Medals as PuToTyra cuts into him (more on that later) and see one Lion Core damaged, but not yet destroyed. He flees, and asks Dr. Maki for help, only for Maki to stab into him and take Greeed form (I like it) and take out all the Core Medals from him. Kazari is seen walking around before collapsing, breaking into Cell Medals, and as one Lion Core Medal, his last one rolls on the ground and shatters, effectively killing him for ever. My count makes for, including tenth medals, now a total of 9 medals have been destroyed (I'm considering Wonderful canon until reviews come in) leaving a total of 61 Core Medals. I liked the scene where Gotou just kept on fighting Kazari, it showed his determination as a warrior and his skill as Birth, even if he can't properly fight the Greeed, he'll still put his effort in to help Eiji. I also feel now that, even if wonderful itself doesn't become canon, the scenes in the past will be, given the clips showing Gara and some other alchemists at work, and the reptile medals. Maki is looking to be interesting in these last episodes, so we'll see how that goes. One point I find interesting though is Kazari's final Medal counts. When Eiji slashes at him with the Medagaburyu and we see his core being damaged, we see he still has foreign cores in his body, specifically we're shown him having 1 of Uva's cores, and Uva also took two from him earlier though I'm not sure he'd absorbed them, though this confirms that after Uva's death they did collect most of his cores. He also has a combo of Gamel's medals and two of Mezools, whch shows how trustworthy he is. Also when we see the medals Maki has just taken from Kazari, a Condol is clearly seen there, this must be the medal Uva had at one point, meaning Kazari never actually gave it to him when they stole it, making things even more bad. I did feel Kazari's death was in a way retribution for the pain he caused Mezool, given how he was left in just that situation.

In todays Gokaiger we saw yet another sentai I have yet to watch's tribute, with GoGo V's Tatsumi Matsuri, GoPink, about whom I literally only know that she is a nurse, and one of a team of siblings. I'm glad we saw the GoPink helmet appear over her, as it wouldn't work otherwise though. The Grand Power was interesting, but it made sense. I liked Ahim's MagiPink disguise strategy, it was a sensible strategy fot distracting Basco, though I didn't see any obviously pink feature on him, but I'll inore that for now. I'm seriously hoping Basco develops a new strategy after he uses his last 3 keys otherwise things'll get boring. I liked the GoGo V action here, though I do wish Gai hadn't felt the need to use Gold Mode. The use of Fiveman and Magiranger for the girls was nice as well, referencing GoGo V being a sibling team as well.

Come back for next week when:
In Kamen Rider OOO, Eiji, Gotou and Satonaka prepare to attack the Greeed. A Birth with red markings uses the Crane Arm and fires the Birth Buster at Mezool, Uva falls in a pit and Satonaka presses the red button on Gamel. Maki reveals Giru to Eiji and Ankh, Mezool keeps eggs. LaTorarTar and red marked Birth battle complete Mezool, and LaTorarTar wields the Medagaburyuu wile on the Toride Vendor.
In Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger we see the Megaranger, Timeranger and Hurricangers, as well as the return of Action Commander Jealoushit
